NASA has chosen ARES Technical Services, based in McLean, Virginia, to provide safety and mission assurance support at two important NASA locations: Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland and Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia.
Contract Details
The contract, called Safety and Mission Assurance Services III, is valued at about $226 million. It will last for five years starting June 1, 2025, with a possible extension of six months.
What ARES Will Do
ARES will help NASA’s Safety and Mission Assurance Directorate at Goddard by conducting independent checks. This includes monitoring, audits, reviews, and assessments of NASA’s design, development, testing, and mission operations. These activities will take place both at NASA facilities and at locations of NASA’s suppliers.
